The Elementus ‘Banana Army’ raises £3000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.

A team of thirteen employees from Elementus successfully completed the BUPA London 10,000 run on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st May 2010 as the ‘Banana Army’. The fastest member of the team finished in a very respectable 43m:57s. The slowest time for the team was a more leisurely 1h:09m achieved by the team ‘leader’! The five runners in their banana fancy dress received extra encouragement from the crowd to keep running. After the run, one of the ‘Banana Men’ could be found at the gates of Buckingham Palace drumming up extra support by posing for photographs with foreign tourists!

Ian Robinson, Business Support Manager from Elementus comments “As team leader for the run I would like to thank everyone for their time and dedication to train for the run and take part on the big day. The team really enjoyed the atmosphere of the day, and have all done their part to secure an estimated £3000 in sponsorship for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. A big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who has sponsored us! All of the team paid their own entry fees and travel costs, so every penny we have raised in sponsorship will go direct to this great charity.”
