Accreditations

  • Laboratory

We have our own laboratory based at our head office. All of the samples our consultants take on site are processed here. Our team of microbiologists currently process around 35,000 samples every year!

With this many samples being handled, it is imperative that we follow specific procedures in order to maintain high levels of quality. Therefore, all laboratory analysis and a large proportion of our site work is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

  • UKAS

We are accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) and BSi, to ensure the results of our environmental audits are reliable and reproducible. With UKAS in particular, this means that our consultants and laboratory staff follow strict procedures when taking or processing samples.

We employ a Quality Manager who reviews and updates the systems regularly to ensure you continue to receive an excellent service. Both quality systems are audited by their respective organisations at least once per year.

  • Best Companies

A ‘Best Companies Accreditation’ is a hallmark of a great place to work, and in 2011, we achieved one star status at the first attempt!

Best Companies acknowledges excellence in the workplace. The scheme of accreditation focuses on engagement of the workforce as an integral component of any organisation’s growth and success. ‘Engagement’ can be defined as “the drive of an employee to use all their resource and ingenuity for the organisation’s benefit”.

Best Companies Accreditation utilises the elite ‘Michelin style’ star rating system for organisations demonstrating high levels of employee engagement. Based on a survey to gather staff feedback, organisations receive a Best Companies index score to determine their star rating compared to fixed standards. One star is rated as ‘first class’, two stars is rated as ‘outstanding’ and three stars is rated as ‘extraordinary’.

Every organisation that completes the Accreditation process receives a Best Companies Index score and detailed feedback so it is possible to identify exactly where the organisation stands and where improvements need to be made.
